The Color of Money?!? Better than The Hustler? Nopes. I have to differ on Back to the Future III, unless you mean it’s just better than Back to the Future II, in which case, you’re right. But it’s not on par with the first, right?
I don’t know if I saw A Very Brady Sequel, but I’m willing to take your word for it… On the whole, a great list.
I assume Dark Knight would make this list now if you redid it? I can’t seem to think of anything else, but I know they’re out there…
Yes on The Color of Money, it’s a much better film than The Hustler and as for Back to the Future III, well lets just say I might have to concede that one…
The Dark Knight is definitely a better film than Batman Begins (itself a brilliant piece of work) and this summer also threw up Hellboy II: The Golden Army (not to mention my criminal omission of the Bourne films) so it seems as if the theory of diminishing returns might be making a reversal and the smug film school chat at the start of Scream 2 (itself a very diminished return) is becoming less and less relevant.
